Healthcare Education Responsive Website

(Created as a capstone project from a passion project idea)

Overview of website and mobile site design featuring 4 images

The Project

  • Responsive website designed to be a SaaS education portal between medical professionals and patients.

  • Clinicians assign personalized educational pathways that patients can access, annotate, and revisit to stay informed.

The Users

  • Three key personas with distinct needs: a medical professional, a patient, and a family member.

  • Accessibility was a key priority throughout the design process. I drew on my clinical background and referenced WCAG guidelines to ensure that each iteration was inclusive for all users.

The Design

The Prototypes

  • Mobile and desktop/tablet versions created in Figma

  • The 3 clips below reflect the portions of the final designs, incorporating iterations following two rounds of usability testing.

Key Takeways

  • Deepened my skills in Figma, learning to use components, auto layout, and scaling to create responsive designs more efficiently and consistently

  • Explored how two distinct user platforms could interact seamlessly, while ensuring the design remained intuitive for users and clear for developers managing data flow.

  • Considered scalability, leading me to prioritize clean layouts, customizable content, and organized categories that support both current use and future growth.

  • Gained confidenced in solving complex design challenges
